How to Make Leather Coin Purses

Coin Purses are convenient, small and useful to carry coins for petty shopping. Theses leather goods are usually made from garment leather waste. A variety of colour combinations are given while fabricating to make the pouches attractive.   1. Raw materials; 2. Preliminary operations; 3. Fabrication; 4. Finishing.

1. Raw materials

 

• Finished leathers: garment leather waste;
• Accessories: No.3 nylon zip, No.3 runner, thread and adhesive.

 

2. Preliminary operations

 

• Pattern cutting;
• leather components cutting.

 

3. Fabrication

 

• Zip attaching to the centre panel and stitching;
• Components assembling on the reverse (flesh) side, using adhesive;
• Stitching;
• Turning the pouch to the front (grain) side and hammering gently at the stitched ends
  for perfect shaping;
  

 

4. Finishing

 

• Removing the excess adhesive and fusing the excess thread;
• Cleaning the product with the piece of smooth cloth.
